QR free Transit Hotel

Hi everyone, I have a question to ask regarding the free transit hotel during my next flight. I got a very good offer on QR business class in april, but there's a problem with the return flight from FCO, as it foresees a 13 hours transit in DOH and they don't provide a free transit hotel. I called the QR office in Jakarta and was told that for routes ex CGK, there's no free transit hotel offered. I'm aware that for transit over 8 hours, airlines are required to provide free accomodation. Is there anything I can do to fight for this?

In 2001/2002, MH provided us with a hotel room (part of the ticket fare) for transit over 12 hrs. Dont know if that's still practised.
