Once upon a time there was an airline
Where we used to raise a glass or two (of Krug)
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And dreamed of all the great things we would do

Those were the days my friend
    We'd thought they'd never end
    We'd sing and dance
    Forever and a day

We'd live the life we'd choose
    We'd fight and never lose
    Fore we were young
And sure to have our way

If you're talking to/from SIN, there's usually great availability in premium cabins within 3 days of your flight. Just saying...

What does speaking Spanish have to do with BA Gold???

          Now THAT'S a spendy redemption!

Nothing?? I thought you referred to TA's call centre in the States?

I don't think they have one in the US. They have a US/Canada number but you'd still be connected to the one and only centre in El Savador. At least, that's what the agents told me.

              Now, back to the topic

Re-reading the thread, you were the only person to bring them up. We've all been discussing BA.

                • I was responding to SQflyergirl in relation to TA, whose call centre I thought you were referring to was in the States. So, you and I weren't referring to the same thing. Either way, BA or TA, there's no relation to BMI's demise and the thread's gone off-topic.

                        • Shame. Those BD TATL flights to and from MAN (especially ORD) were fantastic, and had without doubt the best catering I have ever had on any airline in any class, even to this day.

                          • It's refusing to die even if they are still slowly removing the final benefits we have left. The latest one is the loss of double Avios on BA bookings paid for with our Bmi MasterCard, which we have just been informed is to go. We still get ten percent discount on BA flights and 2.5 Avios per GBP spent on the card.

Or now less Avios per GBP depending on the exact card you have:

For those people lucky enough to still have the old bmi British Midland credit cards issued by MBNA, some unwelcome news dropped through the letterbox yesterday.

Not for everyone, just for some.

There are, unbelievably, SEVEN different bmi credit card packages out there. Whilst everyone is losing the benefit of double miles for spending with British Airways, not everyone is having their miles cut.

As stated above, I still get 2.5 per GBP, which is pretty good. I keep forgetting about the 10% BA discount, not that I use it much anyway....
