The entire SQ fleet except the Concorde and the 707/737.
Quite a fair bit of the commercial ones flying today but these are the memorable/special ones:

Beechcraft King Air
British Aerospace J41
Boeing B747SP
Tupolev TU-134

One special coming soon: Embraer Legacy 600

Some lesser-flown birds:

Saab 2000
Dash 8 Q400 - was about to board my SK flight CPH-KRS when SK1209 had the landing gear issue. Was put up in a hotel and was flown out the next day on an ATR
Sikorsky S-92 (do choppers count?)

Just booked a flight with a 737-600, not a common type.

Is it with SAS? I think it's by far the largest operator of the type.

It is SAS. MAN > ARN.

I think my interest in aviation was sparked by flights I took in 1980, SIN-NRT on a JAL DC-10, where I was allocated a seat in the middle bank of 5 seats in 2-5-2 config...examining the cold soba on my Y meal tray with some suspicion, and then continuing on JAL 747 NRT-HNL in a window seat, before flying HNL-LAX on a UA 747 (My first UA flight, a 5 hour sector, which had Salisbury Steak, chosen from a printed Y menu. Imagine that on UA Y!).

At that time there were actually riot police in full gear at NRT, because of protests from the locals who were against building an airport there.

The last flight of my trip was on a JAL DC-8 flight from HKG-SIN, which landed at Paya Lebar Airport, which I slept through, only remembering the loud roar of the engines when we took off.

That trip, a conducted tour of the USA by a new defunct but much beloved tour agency, Ken Air (If you remember that, I can probably guess your age), was memorable as well for the huge number of domestic sectors flown on 727's, on airlines such as Eastern Airlines, Western Airlines etc. I will always remember Eastern Airlines because the pilot on one of the flights was quite kid-friendly and let me sit in the cockpit of a 727 after we landed.

Immediately after that trip, I started doodling pictures of airline seats, and meal trays in school...convinced that flying could be made more comfortable than what I experienced.

Little did I realize that flying in Y would go downhill from there culminating in those twin atrocities, the 10-abreast 777 and 9-abreast 787...

do you remember the name of your blue and white shirt-clad tour escort?

up until the mid-90s, US airlines took children on tours of the cockpit and gave them wings. you could even ask for stationery on domestic flights. all that's history now
