LH to EK transfer at CGK

Hi everyone,

I am flying SIN-CGK on LH and then CGK-DXB-LHR on EK later the same day. Presuming I can check my bags through from SIN to LHR, will I be able to get my EK boarding cards at the transfer desk and not have to pay for the VOA just to check-in again after immigration?

If I can't check my bags all the way through I am guessing I will have to fork out for the VOA, pass through immigration and then go through it all again to get back airside...is this correct?

I have never been to CGK so you wisdom is appreciated!

Unfortunately you will have to go landside as the transfer desk has no computer (at least i don't remember there being one) and sometimes it is not even staffed...and I'd probably make a run for it as soon as you get off the aircraft as both the VOA desk and the immigration lines get really really long...
