      The beef with shrimp and risotto is a repeat from the winter, although possibly with a different veggie. I thought it was outstanding. I also liked the two appetizers with artichoke (the first menu posted for July).

      Note the champagne that won an award for business class wine lists, much better than the previous non-French stuff on DL and much much better than the predeparture prosecco. I think SQ has been serving a similar champagne in C but of course it does not compare to SQ's Dom and Krug in F.

            Comments:
            Really sad pre-arrival meal situation - why bother? The snack has gone from a nice one tray meal to one tray snack with soup, open-face sandwich, and small cakes/pastries, and now it sinks to a new low with a small sandwich, and of course if the F/As would have passed around the snack basket, the situation will be better, but the purser was in too much hurry to finish service for some "imagined" turbulence" that never happened. The pilots kept on saying good weather, but the purser was in a different state of mind.

                    Typical Delta Airlines transatlantic fare - dinner is nice and breakfast is okay! But Delta - it is time to introduce some new dishes and this is the third year that I have seen the same boring Michelle Bernstein's entrees! Either give Chef Bernstein more money to come up with more dishes or find a new chef! But meals are pretty elaborate which puts Delta ahead of American, US Airways and United business class product, and somewhat competitive with Continental.

                      Typical Delta’s daytime transatlantic meal and there is one cut – mid-flight freshly baked cookie service! Other than that minor cut, meals are good and there are some interesting starters. The Yellow Pepper soup actually came out quite nicely. I had the beef entrée, which was nice. The pre-arrival chicken sandwich is also nice. A Lily O’Brien Chocolate accompanied the pre-arrival meal. The Miami based crew was very good, and a bit more enthusiastic compared to other bases.

                          Chicken Apple Sausage

                          Yes the sausages featured on this particular flight/menu were Chicken Apple Sausages, which were actually quite a gourmet item in the US. There are a number of gourmet brands which feature this combination of chicken and apple in sausages. They are actually quite nice and make the sausages less salty than the usual type. I presume using chicken makes it a bit healthier

                          You could find them in most supermarkets in the US, and I saw them in the Hong kong's City Super, a more upper end supermarket in Asia (I am sure you know about it...). I am sure similar gourmet markets will have them available.

                            Thanks for the info Carfield, I'll check at the Ion one upstairs if they have those. Haven't seen these around SIN previously (I have browsed City Super at IFC HKG, but I rarely hang around the meats/fresh food section as I pop in to mostly buy stuff to carry onwards to wherever I'm flying). Cheers!
