Hope you are right. Perhaps SQ realised the head rush into devaluing KF Membership is not the right decision to make.

IIRC shortly after the new service fees were announced they were then retracted and replaced with the text observed by StarG... looks like they copped a bit of flack for that one and decided it wasn't the best move!
