Fare is on sales now to go to AMS from SIN at around SGD 550 for Y and SGD 3450 for J.
How can they do CGK nonstop to AMS, and on certain days, but not LGW, or are those AMS flights going out with weight restrictions ?.

Seems like most of us missed this bit of news (I did) http://www.ausbt.com.au/garuda-begin...es-to-heathrow

So GA now flying CGK-SIN-LHR-CGK though eventually they want to fly direct from CGK to LHR after the runway issues are sorted allowing the 773ERs to take full load. At least this will make their London flight more palatable though the evening slot they acquired in Heathrow is not ideal meaning one has to depart CGK in the morning making connections from GA Oz flights quite inconvenient (overnight needed in Jakarta).

I also got a marketing email from GA offering SIN-LHR-(CGK)-SIN for 4,188 SGD RT in Biz. Eco started at 999 SGD.
