Indirectly, because the squalls over the pearl river delta occurred earlier in the afternoon. But that caused a backlog of flights waiting to depart all the way till the end of the day.

                        • SQ832 | 01 May (SIN-PVG) operated by 9V-SQM departed Singapore at 1425hrs (original STD 1245hrs).
Noting this because.... almost all the other 772Rs were available on the ground at that time, yet the flight used SQM which was scheduled to come in from HKG at 1305hrs. Not the first time this has happened in recent days. How do they dispatch aircraft?

                          • Believed flight ops would have their various reasons for using a particular aircraft as replacement as they would know which of the aircrafts are on the ground. Some similiar aircrafts maybe on the ground but they may have some checks to be done or some light servicing to be done etc.
