Kitchen Sink Traveller here also: I find it hard enough as it is leaving with 1 suitcase and coming back with no less than 2 bursting ones. Let alone carry on only.

However, fortunately being a mostly SQ flyer, I have never been made worried much about my baggage all this time.

Also, I like to carry as little as possible onboard.

erm... Do I remember wrong or there was someone travelling to YVR with SQ, whose bag was missed and was slightly unquiet?

I hardly fly SQ in recent years yet my luggage was left behind in DXB. I was jumping with joy and went on a shopping spree that night.
