United have been reporting good loads including its its business class for its SIN-SFO-SIN flights and am sure United will do well for its SIN-LAX non-stop flights. If it follows that SIA A350ULR flights will soon be all business and PEY, then United will be the only airline with economy seats, which of course meant more affordable fares.

I can't wait for the 359ULR to come so they also resume LAX/NYC with it as welll. Next year is looking pretty exciting.

United is dropping LAX-SIN in favor of a second daily SFO-SIN flight effective W18. New schedule (2nd daily in bold):
UA029 SFO1055 – 2015+1SIN 789
UA001 SFO2240 – 0800+2SIN 789
UA002 SIN1000 – 0835SFO 789
UA028 SIN2220 – 2055SFO 789
United will now compete with the SQ flight in both directions, while SQ will have LAX to itself when the nonstop returns later this year.

Blueswan daily has an interesting analysis of the SQ and UA jockeying in the US-Singapore market. It speculates that SQ will do between 10 and 12 weekly frequency on SIN-LAX non-stop using the ULR and add less than daily second non-stop SIN-SFO using the ULR during the peak business days.

As pointed out in other forums, it is also interesting to note that UA can do double daily SIN-SFO with 3 planes. While SQ may not do this, technically it also can offer 14 weekly frequency (double daily) on the SIN-SFO using the 3 remaining ULR if the 4 early ULR are used for one daily SIN-EWR and one daily SIN-LAX.
