      You're out of luck then

9V-SMF: Painted and currently undergoing cabin fit. If she is rolled out this month, an end October delivery is possible.
9V-SMG: Just out of the Paint Hanger and should move to cabin fit & engine installation later this month. An end October rollout could mean an end November delivery.
9V-SMH: Just entered the Paint Hanger and will be out before the end of October to move into cabin fit. She is likely to be delivered in December.
9V-SMI: It's next stage of production will be the Paint Hanger, which could be later this month. An end December or early January 2017 delivery is possible.

If my predictions are correct, there will be 8-9 A350s in the SQ fleet at the end of 2016.
They only have 5 A359's as of now and I hope it will be good enough to cover a daily nonstop SFO flight.

9V-SMF: Took off on her first flight today. She should be delivered in 3-5 weeks time keeping to the original before end of October delivery
9V-SMG: Currently said to be undergoing cabin fit. An early October rollout could mean an end November or early December delivery.
9V-SMH: Currently in the Paint Hanger and could be out this week and can still keep to her October move into cabin fit. She is likely to be delivered in December.
9V-SMI: She still waiting to enter the Paint Hanger, which could be at the end of this week at its earliest. A January or even February 2017 delivery appears most likely now.
9V-SMJ: Fully assembled and undergoing rework. Delivery in the first quarter of 2017 appears likely.

There should be 8 A350s in the SQ fleet by the end of 2016.

            Thanks for the detailed info!

The arrival of SMF will be very interesting to see as it is technically surplus to requirements. Commitments to AMS, DUS, JNB & SFO can all be covered by SMA-E, provided of course, that nothing goes wrong.

I feel that the arrival of SMG, however, will definitely be the latest point where they make an announcement about the next official route to "go A359". They seem very nervous about doing so until they have enough +1 craft delivered.

JNB/CPT, MXP/BCN, MUC, DME, CPH are all possible contenders, but I'm starting to lean toward MXP/BCN given earlier indications that F-class bookings had ceased. Alternately, JNB/CPT would make JNB fully A359 and make covering a daytime return flight to HKG more feasible and JNB has never taken F bookings.

It will not surprise me if SQ puts something like:

SIN-NRT-SFO and vv or even SIN-HND-SFO and vv, if that be the case, hope it will be operated by a 77WR aircraft and also has the same timeslots to the new SQ8/7 LAX flight: Gets back to SIN at 5 or 6AM.

                • SIN-HND-SFO is unlikely.

And SQ has 2 daily to SFO. It is unlikely they will add a third.

                  • I don't imagine SQ will axe NRT-LAX when the nonstop commences in 2018, but I wonder what the fate of ICN-LAX will be.. rerouted to a new US destination such as ORD? Resumption of YVR? Or will LAX see 3 daily flights again? Plenty of excitement to come!

SQ422/1 would be absolutely perfect for the A350 as it slots exactly into the long-haul gaps. Back when SQ made the big announcement about refurbing the 772ER fleet, AMS and BOM were chosen as the first two destinations because the two flights fitted together perfectly with respect to timings.

                              • Things have been moving faster than expected since my last update 2 days ago. In fact I missed some information. It is now highly likely that there will be 9 A350s in the SQ Fleet at the end of 2016.

SQ A350 Delivery Update as of 28 September.

9V-SMF (#6): Currently undergoing flight testing. She should be delivered in 3-5 weeks’ time keeping to the original before end of October delivery
9V-SMG (#7): Currently undergoing cabin fit. An early October rollout could mean an end November or early December delivery.
9V-SMH (#8): Out of the Paint Hanger and waiting to move into cabin fit. She should have her first flight at the end of November and be delivered in December.
9V-SMI (#9): Out of the Paint Hanger and waiting to move into cabin fit. If she enters cabin fit in October, she could make it to an end December delivery.
9V-SMJ (#10): Fully assembled and undergoing rework. Delivery in the first quarter of 2017 appears likely.
9V-SMK (#11): Fully assembled and undergoing outdoor ground testing. Delivery in the first quarter of 2017 appears a possibility.
