  • Fly ULR in Biz for almost free...

SQ has uploaded a very interesting fare from India to the US:

You can fly from India to Singapore, stop-over here, and then fly on the ULR from SIN to EWR. Ticket books in D (so no upgrades and expensive to change, no refund):

Cost of the ticket (one-way): 1,350 USD (1,840 SGD)

Using the Citibank promotion you pocket up to 14,720 Krisflyer miles.

Flying the flight and crediting to Alaska Air as an MVP75 gives 325% meaning a whopping 39,370 AS miles for the 12,114 miles of distance (AMD-SIN-EWR).

AS sells their miles at the moment under their 40% promotion of 2.1 US-Cents. So buying 39,370 at the cheapest possible price is 827 USD (1,130 SGD)

So if we value Krisflyer miles at 2 SGD-Cents we get:

Ticket price: 1,840 SGD, KF from Citi: ./. 294 SGD, miles from AS: ./. 1,130 SGD = 416 SGD for flying half around the world in style. Alternatively you can redeem an Advantage award that costs you 135,000 KF miles just for SIN-EWR.

Look up how you can status match to AS MVP75 and enjoy!

Looks like it’s the same one from some months back to JFK. But I don’t seem to be able to book with a stop over online. Only direct flights

Tip: Open your SQ App, type in AMD and EWR and price a one-way in Business Class.

        Please share with the group.

You would need 'D' class available for both days. Easiest done by using Google Flights and then just click on the SQ booking link.
