I've got my money on Washington DC. Prestige flight, fairly prestige plane (can't say its fully prestige since there's no F), but since its more efficient the losses (if any) won't be so bad.

The A350 could also open (back) up the SIN-YVR route (i believe the distance is less than SFO, so a regular A359 could make it there non-stop, perhaps even without weight restrictions. Though i wonder if the market is there.......when i flew SIN-HKG-YVR back in 2007, i remember loads being pretty light. CX already flies there from HKG, and anyway i believe SQ's slots at HKG are already full due to the LAX and SFO flights, so i don't believe they'll go by there.

Anyway, speculation is the job of armchairs specialists like me. But its fun!!

Washington D.C. is fairly close to New York. Maybe SQ will start flying to Chicago non-stop? Or Toronto?

Actually current PEY seats are supplied by German manufacturer ZIM-Flugsitz: http://www.zim-flugsitz.com/

Actually ZIM-Flugsitz supplies their A380 and Boeing 777-300ER PEY seats while Zodiac supplies their A350 PEY seats (source).

As to why SQ has two PEY suppliers, it might be type-specific certification of a supplier? Awaiting someone in the know to shed some light on this...

            Oh thanks for that note.

Actually, certification is one of the major reason why seats are so expensive, but it is hazardous to say that ZIM would not be able to find a viable financial agreement with SQ to support the certification of their product for the A350.

There are sure other factors and SQ is really good at playing one supplier against the other in order to find the best deal.
ZIM is a relatively new player on the scene, and Zodiac (despite the recent issues) may be able to offer to them a more solid support.

On a side note: while SQ is always curious to deal with new comers with innovative ideas, they tend to stick often to tested and tried suppliers, like in the case of design agencies (when one knows them inside well, you realise that the services offered by a 30 ppl strong office are not per se better in absolute terms to those offered by a 4 ppl office with the right attitude... - many things we are not given to know).

Actually, does anyone like the orange colour used for the seat pocket on A350 Y+? I'm never a fan of that colour...

I'd be willing to bet you (acceptance must be confirmed by June 1st of this year) a bottle of Krug that will not happen upon A350ULR launch.
