SIN-AMS on SQ, AMS-LGW on BA

Have had a search round and seen that it does seem possible to transfer luggage from other airlines to another which I didn't know you could do. This place is a wealth of information!

Anyway flying the above trip all in J (learning the lingo now) has anyone done the same and checked luggage in changi all the way through to Gatwick? I understand would still have to get the ticket from the transfer counter.

I did phone SQ but they didn't know.

If this is all on one ticket - yes.

The question is whether SQ has an interline agreement with BA. I suspect they do.

If it's on two separate tickets - i still suspect this is possible, but you'll need to produce the BA ticket to the SQ crew in SIN.
