You can hate the plate... but think what they've put on it...
I do personaly don't like it either...
But I heard that now they begin to use "flat" plate on the long haul route

What makes you think the sound effects aren't from his first career?

A set of pliers and an open mouth can achieve the same sound

Ok... lets follow this "kampung guy" culinary adventure in Sydney...

After dropped their entire luggage at their apartment at Kensington area, this "kampung guy" and his nephews and nice went to lunch...

There are quite a lot of Asian restaurants in the Kensington/Kingsford area...
One of them is Kensington Peking at Anzac Parade, near their apartment...

This restaurant is one among their favorites...

One of the best selling menus there was: Shantung Chicken...
                      This dish really good..
The chicken was deep fried to perfectness, crispy in the outside, soft and moist in the inside...
The in-house special soy sauce really a big compliment here... blend into perfection...

The other great dish there was King Prawn Omelet...
The big prawn and onion blend with in-house special sauce made this special omelet so irresistible... made you want more and more and more...

And dish of the day that day was this special fish (yes, the menu said like that: Special Fish... )

It was deep fries fish fillets with another in-house special sauce...
The sauces might look the same, but the taste was different...
Each dish got their own special taste sauce, even though the sauce base was the same, the soy sauce...

The portions were so huge... so that 3 dishes were more than enough for 4 of them...

After lunch, they went back to the apt, and resting...
                      Still tired from the flight...

And for dinner, another nearby restaurant at Kensington...
                        This time at WOW! Bulgogi...

And just like any other Korean Restaurant, there were some complimentary side dishes to completed the main meal...
(But not the mandoo the Korean gyoza... that's not complimentary.. )

                        Potatoes salad...

                        Kimchi...

                        Daikon pickles...

                        Marinated tofu skin...

The mandoo (Korean version of gyoza)...

And the one of the favorite menu in there was this Seafood Pancake...

                        Yuk Gae Jang (?)...

                        Dolsot Bim Bim Bab...
                        With raw egg yolk...

                        Without raw egg yolk...

That dinner really full filled this "kampung guy" big appetite...

One the next day, Manly Beach visit....

The easiest way to go to Manly Beach from Sydney is taking a ferry from Circular Quay...
And that what this "kampung guy" did...

That's the Circular Quay terminal taken from the ferry shortly after departed from there...

Taking ferry to Many Beach is one of this "kampung guy" fav activities in Sydney...
Many beautiful scenery can be seen from the ferry...
Including this Sydney's landmark, the Opera House...

It’s took about 30 minute to reach the Manly Beach...

And this was the ferry terminal at Manly Beach...

That's the ferry that brought this "kampung guy" to Manly Beach...

                            And now the beach....

                            Nice doggy...

Now it was time for morning snacks...

Queued at that little outlet for some fries...

And here what they got for morning snack...
Breaded deep fried calamari and chips...

After finished with their morning snacks, it was raining...

Ok, it's not a big rain, just a shower... but still this rain has ruined this "kampung guy" dream to pose like a beached mermaid man with a sexy tiny winy thong on the beach just like his sifu's at LH FCT, the one an only Master Kyo+++ himself...

Done with that "Peri-peri Chicken" and friends, they went back to Sydney...

One of this "kampung guy" friends in Sydney has text-ed him, asking to meet for a late lunch in the city...

Another view from the ferry on the way back to Sydney...
