SQ856 SIN/HKG 9V-SKZ 05JUL19 delayed departure due to engineering reasons. Anyone might know the actual cause of delay?

SQ807 (PEK-SIN) -5 July operated by 9V-SKH only just departed at around 2025 HR (almost 4 hours delay from its original ETD of 1635hr). plane will reach Changi around 2am.
SQ306 have been retimed to depart at 330am as it have to wait for SKH

Two planes had technical issues on the same night out of a fleet of about 115.

SQ305 which was supposed to be operated by SKH, was swapped to be perform by SKZ (a version 3) , while SQ317 is being operated by SKH which arrived late.

Due to weather, SQ231 | 7 Jul has been diverted to Tullamarine and delayed by 3 hours. Arrival time at SYD was 13:20.

However, return service SQ222 is NOT affected.

I happen to be in Sydney at present and indeed staying right near SYD airport. It was a bit foggy around arrival time of 10.00, but I was easily able to see the tops of eight storey buildings and was even photographing a few at that exact time, as it happens. Surprised it was foggy enough to need to divert flights at the nation's "most important airport". Maybe they were still recovering from earlier on when visibility might have been worse.

Or the long holding time associated with the fog and reduced visibility ops which I suspect is the reason for diverson.

The plane might not have planned for long holding hours and thus not having enough fuel to hold.

Not saying everyone do but QF frequently divert planes to BNE when SYD is foggy and the plane was doing long haul - all are attributed to long holding time.

The original assigned aircraft should be SKJ right ? SKK have landed at Changi at 530am but they use SKH instead. Seem like SQ will lose big money on this flight again

Add on: both the SQ306 delay on 1/7 n 10/7 make it to the Chinese newspaper. 1/7 SQ306 around 427 paxes affected. It was claimed the the delay is caused by tyre puncture
10/7 SQ306 around 392 paxes affected. Delay due t hydraulic leaking.
Still yet to count for the number of paxes for SQ305 on both days.
