9V-JKL, as always, thanks for the recommendation. I've now added another item on my list of places to drag my brother to when I visit Singapore.‘Lean into the sharp points’

Also, a friendly reminder to all which was alluded to in the similar thread for dining outside SIN... The most helpful (IMO) recommendations are for venues where the poster has actually dined. If one is posting about a venue not from personal experience but because it has been written about or reputed to be popular or "hot", please qualify the recommendation as such. Do not just copy information/recommendations from another website into this thread (particularly without providing proper credit). It's fine to use a link to provide further information to support your own recommendations. TIA.Last edited by cawhite; 30 July 2007, 09:30 PM.

2 restaurants in the last week or so deserving a mention:
Prive (Keppel Island) - nice place, pretty good $38 3-course lunch, waste of a great view
Brown Sugar (somewhere along River Valley) - very good $27 3-course lunch, dishes all seem to have a slight Japanese influence (e.g. tuna tataki starter, lamb with tempura something on the side) Will definitely go back.

To jjpb3 and cawhite,
Hope someday we will enjoy together these mango desserts. It has been too long! Miss you guys, always.
Your admirer,
SQ LPP
Note: Of course, J777 has to take us there. I even don't remember how to get to the restaurants.
