  • Buying mobile phones in Changi

I was wondering if there are any stores dedicated to selling mobile phones? And is it usually cheaper buying them in Changi rather than, say, in town?

    Hi flyKL,

you can get simcards at changi. not quite sure about mobile phones.

but in the city, you can visit a 7-11 store, they usually have cheap 60-80sgd phones for sale.

    regards,

The electronics stores in Changi T2 did have a good selection of phones. Its been more than a year since I looked, but at that time it was selling the Nokia E72 about $30 cheaper than the in-town prices listed on these sites. YMMV.

I got an HTC Sensation earlier this year at T3. The prices are (relatively) comparable. If a few bucks isn't that big of a deal to you, it's worth it. But like what Savage said, YMMV.

You can buy sim cards at UOB money exchange outlets upon arrival in Changi, from all carriers. M1 (IIRC) also have their own dedicated counters - can't miss them.
