  • Listening to Changi ATC?

I've always wanted to listen to Changi's ATC. I know I may need some special radio, but is there a live feed online or some app which I can download?

    Thanks

I think those are illegal in Singapore but you can try liveatc.net for some other airports.

Portable VHF radios are illegal in SG unless licensed by the MDA. Here's the closest example you can find online.

UA's channel 9 needs MDA approval?

Tower to aircraft is done in the UHF band. As for the frequency range it's OPSEC.

You will need to be licensed to operate such radios.

That's one of the things I LOVE about UA. I remembered when I first flew with UA and discovered the Channel 9... I listened to it the entire flight! For an aviation enthusiast, the communications are interesting and I actually immersed myself into it!

Really? I thought it's all done in the VHF range, at least that's what I've been taught...
SIN Tower Local Control at 118.6 is in the VHF range isn't it?

sorry my bad... I might have been mis quoted as during my NS days we were using the UHF band for tower to aircraft and forward air control

Thanks! What's interesting about the WSSS feed is that you're actually listening to multiple frequencies at the same time! I can listen to aircraft being handed from one controller to the next
