An interesting observation, SQ appears to be almost fully utilizing its 11 A380s to operate flights to SYD, MEL, NRT, LHR, CDG, HKG and ZRH. An eg:

Assuming at 0001hrs Singapore time on any day, the following flights will be operated by A380s,

      SQ322 enroute SIN-LHR
      SQ318 enroute SIN-LHR
      SQ221 enroute SIN-SYD
      SQ227 enroute SIN-MEL
      SQ638 enroute SIN-NRT
      SQ334 enroute SIN-CDG
      SQ346 preparing for SIN-ZRH at 0110hrs
      SQ317 enroute LHR-SIN
      SQ333 enroute CDG-SIN
      SQ345 enroute ZRH-SIN

Therefore a minimum of 10 A380s are needed for the routes, with 1 spare A380, probably being rotated for maintenance. If 1 additional A380 were to go AOG, it will almost definitely result in a situation where there are not enough A380s to run the show. Any idea how SQ is going to cope with such possible situation?

        For HKG/MEL/SYD/NRT, they could sub a 773/772. For the rest, a 77W. I dare not think they'd bring back a 744

I think they'd probably sub with a 744 as its capacity is closest to that of the A380. Using a 777 would mean pushing a LOT of people off. Also I believe 744s have been used before to replace A380s.
