That's bad. So there's no way to earn points or miles for road tax at the moment then?

Thanks. I'm aware of that and am cancelling the Prestige card after that.

Life sucks after 30 June 2014. + No more 5x Citidollars at supermarkets for the old Citi Platinum VISA/MasterCard.

Wait, does that mean Citibank will or will not give miles for paying income tax with their credit card on an AXS machine?

Or am I getting this all wrong...

I threw away my statement. But this is exactly what it says.

Income tax can only use Diners Club and DBS cards to pay at AXS machines. No points awarded.

I only use AXS for Road tax, SPH, and Singtel bills.

Have already applied for recurring payment for SPH and Singtel to my credit card so I still earn miles for those.

I guess for road tax there is no option to earn miles starting from July.

So what's the point to pay by DBS credit card then?

Defer payment by 1 month when the credit card statement comes.

In that case I rather have the Giro arrangement from IRAS. Pay 10 monthly installments at 0% interest. Better from a cash flow perspective if that is what you are concerned about.

Paying for tax with credit card and not getting points? Whats the point in that DBS (pun intended )?

That was true in a world before miles. Grabbing 1 Krisflyer mile for less than 1 SGD-Cent just makes so much more sense than paying 30 days later for free...
