The final flight is a retro recreation of United's first commercial 747 service, SFO-HNL in 1970.

I would have tried to book it if I didn't have professional commitments in November. Missed SQ's farewell 747 flight in 2012 too because I was studying overseas

Forever the Queen of the Skies, long live the 747!

I know this is months old but saw news of this on my local station, and I've never been lucky to fly a UA 744 on a domestic route or any route for that matter.

Other than that, even DL retired them as well, so no US carrier has a 747 anymore. Definitely sad to hear them go but in a way it's good.
