A Cathay Pacific passenger plane made an emergency landing at Changi Airport on Monday after one of its engines caught fire.

The A330 flight, which was enroute to Jakarta, had to turn back to Singapore after it experienced engine trouble shortly after takeoff at about 1am.

    No one was injured.

Changi Airport Group spokesman Ivan Tan confirmed the incident.

It is unclear how many passengers were on board but the A330 aircraft can take about 200 people.

The aircraft is B-HLM. Currently parked beside another airbus which has experienced engine problems too.

You can't really blame her because she panicked, can you?

Ooohh. I'm flying tonight on CX2734 from SIN-HKG. It was scheduled to be an A330, but when I checked updates for the flight, it was changed to a B744! Will try to report anything special that happened on the flight.

Wonder if the swap is due to this incident. Then again, CX is second to TG.

This morning's CX759 is operated by B-HLV. So it doesn't seems like the rest of the A330 are having problem

With relation to my earlier post. Tonights CX635/636 is operated by another A330 registrated B-HLK.
