  • No Saver award, but Star Alliance partners show availability

Has anyone experienced this bizarre seat management with SQ?

Am looking to book SIN-IST on May 18, 2018. Krisflyer shows Business Saver (waitlist) and Business Standard (available).

Checking with United.com and Lifemiles.com, both sites show wide open business redemption availability on SQ! Same class of travel as Business Saver ("I" class).

I am certain this is not a glitch. Can anyone advise (1) why this is happening and (2) if there is anything we can do about it?

    Cheers!

Bit difficult to understand and not very customer-friendly but the story line here is:

SQ earmarks inventory for StarNet (which you can see on Lifemiles/United), Saver Inventory and Standard Inventory.

StarNet gives SQ a predetermined cash flow from third party airlines.
Saver Inventory is paid with Krisflyer miles.
Standard Inventory is paid with an increased number of Krisflyer miles.

Those buckets are managed independently. If SQ gives 2 seats to StarNet and allocates 2 seats to Saver than a total of 4 seats can be booked. If the Saver Inventory is fully booked, you would see no seats for Saver but still 2 seats for StarNet.
