  • Volcanoes and Grass Airstrips

Had a rare opportunity recently to fly in a small prop from a city airport into a Grass Airstrip reducing a 3.5hr drive into a mere 15mins flight. Along the way, we passed by some active volcanoes.........

The best part........all from the cockpit......

    Here's my story............

Ah! The joys of flying private........... No check-in queues, No Immigration, No Security, No waiting.......

We were schedule to fly out at 0800. Reached the airport at 0758, got off the car next to the plane, said hello to the pilot and we boarded........ That's It!

Since it was my 1st time on a small plane, I asked the owner and pilot if I could sit up-front in the co-pilot's seat. Both said OK Woo Hoo!!!!

And there I am in the co-pilot's seat

    My IFE Screen

What's all these stuff taking up my legroom?

                      Back to Town

After a couple of hours out in the field, it was time to return back to town.

Aircraft was turned-around to fly out opposite to the direction we landed.

                          A runway! Tarmac too!

Runway seems to have a dip in it
