You're absolutely right. Everything looks spare and utilitarian to me, and the J seats are tiny compared to SQ's. It might appeal to minimalist design buffs.

I would agree with the majority that the Green color used in Y looks so....ewww...

F is nice...whereas J is not as wide as SQ.

The mock up looked better than the final product.

Yeah, they should have stick to the seat's colour in the mock up.
We put labels on people and fight wars over them. If we truly want harmony, we have to get past the labels.

Y looks like a military transporter to me. sorry, I totally don't digg the green. The redish seats looked way nicer.

Looking at the YCL picture again, it seems the extreme rear section has red seats.

True - but QF's philosophy is different - those QF seats are also flat and horizontal, they give you the space in pitch terms. Square footage wise I don't think they're very different from SQ's.

                      QF A380 impression

Looking at the Qantas interior A380 pictures, I think their design & colour schemes (especially Y and J cabins) are quite hideous.

Perhaps some of the high flying QF executives should travel more with SQ or EK to get an idea of quality cabin configuration & ambience.

I suppose though the substandard QF A380 cabin design will complement the service level one can expect on QF these days.

Anyone notice how it looks like the seats in F can swivel?

Yeah I had alot of difficulty believing that this is the final product? I have never seen anything as visually gross for a long time!

I'd wait till I see (and experience) the finished product before commenting further.

Plenty of people would disagree. YMMV.

                              yikes!

thats one ugly looking eco cabin!
                              why green??

the only redeeming factor of it all is definitely the food bar.
