Cathay opens new lounges at Heathrow

Cathay Pacific has officially unveiled its new business and first class lounges at Heathrow’s T3.

As discussed on our forum over the last few weeks, the new 923sqm lounges include the airline’s signature Noodle Bar (a popular feature at Cathay’s lounges in Hong Kong), as well as a new buffet area offering Western and Asian food and drinks.

Other facilities include wifi internet access, desktop computers, local and international newspapers, and five shower suites in each lounge.

The lounges are open daily from 0530 to 2200, and are available for:

First and Business Class passengers travelling on Cathay Pacific, Dragonair and Oneworld carriers
Silver and above Marco Polo Club members travelling on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair only
Cargo Clan Elite members travelling on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair only
Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members travelling on Cathay Pacific, Dragonair and Oneworld carriers only
Cathay Pacific currently flies four times daily from Heathrow T3 to Hong Kong.

Ya. And a friend and her daughter were the first to use the lounge on the day it opened on the 23rd. They were actually flying on QR.

She said it was nice.. but her only complaint was that the guy behind the noodle bar counter didn't know how to prepare the wanton noodle soup. So guess what she did... she went behind the counter and taught the chef how to make it with the proper condiments etc.

So in the future ... for anyone commenting on the wanton noodle soup - it's my friend, Ching's recipe !

To which Carol, also from the same aforementioned show, might answer, "computer says noooo"

This new CX lounge at LHR is on the site of the old MH Golden Lounge near the SKL.

Part of the F side of this place is currently closed off as they are apparently extending it. Noodles are still available, which is the main thing.
