There are only 27 77Ws in the fleet and these aircraft type will continue with SQ for another couple of years. It's only in this interim that not all 77Ws will be flying just as the A359s till the end of this year. However note the 77Ws are the only ones with First class and have all 4 classes of seats, and have more higher yield of premium seats. It will replace the A380s for quite a while and at the same time flying to the destinations that are served with this type. Note too that SIA have asked AB to delay further deliveries of its A359s from next year too. The current A359s have been used to replace the A330s and the older 772s - all of which have been withdrawn from service, and hence is not able to cover the 77Ws

the 773s have first yes, but these are the older F seats and secondly the 773s cannot fly as far as the 77Ws to Europe and to US. And if further 777s are to be retired, it will be these few 773s as they are well over 15 years and older.

Not to mention the US spike in cases that are making things more worse and complicated.

As far as the A359's, I'm referring to the longhaul tranche of them (SMA-SJA), which have 3-classes (J, S, Y) and the ULH with just J class and Premium Economy.

I thought the A359's that replaced the A330 and 772 were the regional versions with 2 classes only (J and Y) as well as the 787's. My guess is you're referring to those types which SQ has deferred for delivery.
