But based on Sam Chui reported that back then QANTAS original idea of the new Y class should be red instead of green...!

There appears to be a red cabin situated behind the green cabin in the SMH pic.

The new First Suites definitely looks good to me.... but I won't say anything about the green on Economy, since I can't think of anything good to say about it.

I think in terms of space the QF's F suite is pretty similar to CX's new F suite.

Although I have to agree that the green in Y does look horrid, to be fair to date I have never chosen an airline based on the colour of their seats. However I can not think how this colour scheme got signed off unless the person was colour blind

Not green! It's olive! I'm no colour or interior design expert but I think the olive in Y is meant to complement the pinky lavender in J. The overall colour scheme might look rather nice with 'mood' lighting and the crew's uniform.

Maybe the olive green will mask any turbulence or 'over consumption' related vomiting episodes

                    why green??
The colours (the green as well as the blood red of the C-seats) are meant to represent Australia
Capslock is cruise control for cool... not!

From this news article today at news.com.au, I think there are quite a few others disappointed with the new Qantas A380 interior design:

I'm wondering if QF actually did any form of consumer research or focus groups before settling on those designs, cause it seems a bit like a case of the Emperor's new clothes here, judging by some of their own comments internally about it surpassing their own expectations only to find the customer not really liking it.

Amidst all the back patting, this might be a bit of a rude awakening.

I just love some of those comments! In particular:

"I felt sick just looking at it, thank god I only fly Singapore airlines these days... <edited> ...Can you imagine how bad Marc Newson house must look, is he ex-army or just on drugs?

Whilst SQ might have been mentioned in the article, kindly stick on topic - we're discussing the QF A380 Thank you.
