    I don't get why they would create this kind of contest and then not use the winning livery on the factory fresh A380. ANA has a similar contest, except the winner's one will be painted on the actual A380. Also the prize is much better. A pair of business class tickets between HND/NRT and Honolulu.

      Brand value and recognition? Perhaps an aversion to special liveries too.

        Has anyone seen a picture of the winning entry?

        It was announced in a Facebook post (no picture) in February 2017 but that was it. No updates till now.

          Cost containment still the order of the day? According to this WSJ article, it costs between $100k to $200k to repaint a 777. And we all know how tight SQ is, even in the best of times.

            Sorry to bring an old thread back to the top but it seems like SQ isn't coming up with a model with the winning design from the competition.

            Just went to KrisShop and saw the 70th anniversary 1:200 A380 model on sale for $128
