9V-MGI is set to be the first 738 to be transferred to Scoot. EIS estimated at May 2019.

Looks like this isn't going through while the Max remain grounded:

They have to find some A320s urgently if the planned route changes were to go ahead.

I think TR still have some spare capacity so the situation won't be too critical for now. TR also getting A320neo I believe? Any TR's A320 planes to be returned by Indigo? Maybe some organic expansion plans maybe delayed due to this. But it maybe not a bad thing after all, otherwise excess capacity added may put downward pressure on yields and load factor. Scoot may not want to go through what Tiger experienced years ago with the rapid capacity increase brought about due to over ordering of aircrafts.

Based on Airbus order list, they have a balance of 39 A320Neos on order. it was a strange decision initially to transfer the B737s to TR.

Do we know what caused SQ to change their mind on transferring B737 to scoot? It is not a simple case of B737 MAX grounding as it only has a short term impact.

Seems like this shortage is just a matter of the 737 Max groundings, so I guess the NGs will still be going over, but later.

And I seem to recall Scoot delaying quite a few of the NEO deliveries? They were ordered by Tiger before the merger, anyway.

Based on the earlier report, they are re-training their newly hired B737 pilots for A320s.

Seems like SQ will operate the 737s and TR A320s
