  • OneWorld Celebrates10 Years Including Standard OneWorld livery

OneWorld is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2009. As well as other announcements, OneWorld have decided to create a Standard, "OneWorld" livery which all carriers have to adopt on a portion of their fleet.

Some have already come out: BA, Finnair, & LAN.

Airline with their Oneworld logo jets. But does it mean 40 overall or 40 for each airline?

Why does AA's font seem different from everyone else's?

Its a proportion of aircraft, thus 40 in total. Sounds about right (*A has more than this but also a bigger combined fleet).

In the pictures, the "one" is on a slight slant on the other airlines but not on AA. Seems odd but may just be an artefact of creating the pics.

You were right CX looks terrible to me...

& the BA OW logo 744 model in 1:400 is already out...that was quick...

In compare to the real aircraft, which also looks great on BA 744...

Somebody on another forum pointed out (and I agree) that the BA Speedmarque looks squashed underneath "oneworld" - they should have just left it out and relied on the tail fin to identify it as a BA plane.

Call me a wet blanket, but I must say that I'm not enamoured with alliance liveries. Someone made a comment that they resemble mobile billboard trucks - I am inclined to agree. And yes it doesn't fit well on the QF and CX planes at all!

I doubt they would do that. The Speedmarque is to British Airways what the Silver Kris is to Singapore Airlines

                    Has anyone seen these IRL?

I'm sure I saw one or two on my recent trip but cannot recall where (possibly London and Santiago?).
