  • Many have mentioned that with the new A350s, many 77Ws will be freed up.

So... from 20 April, SQ241 (SIN-SYD) and SQ242 (SYD-SIN) will now be 77W with Premium Economy.

(Sadly for me, means I can no longer do upgrades from my usual route of SYD-FCO grrr).

Actually that explains where SWF will be theoretically deployed once it finally emerges from its refit. This will then free up another original 77W for refitting.

It doesn't represent a new 77W deployment though. MXP/BCN free up two whole 77Ws as they are replaced by A350s.

I believe PER was a one off. And SQ 862 doesn't exist! The 856/861 pairing is correct.

          • 9V-SMN has taken off on her First Flight ahead of 9V-SMM. An interesting development. It apparently is painted though it was originally reported to be unpainted. Will confirm once photos are available. SMM is a few days away from her First Flight.

9V-SMM (F-WZFU) is currently pinging from the ground in TLS.

Correct, SQ213/226 was just for that day of the flyover. However, looking at their flight timings, I wouldn't mind betting this is a potential A350 route any time soon. From a fleet utilisation viewpoint, it's perfect.

                • 9V-SMN (F-WZGC) has completed her First Flight unpainted. Could this mean she will be painted in the 70th anniversary livery? CX #16 has also rolled unpainted. So it could just be a new FAL procedure.

                    • According to reservation system (and then unofficially, subject to changes) it seems that from July Milan and Barcelona will be served as follows:

                      SQ 0368 SIN-MXP increases from 1 to 3 weekly;
                      SQ 0388 SIN-BCN new non-stop service 2 weekly.

                      Schedules:

                      • 9V-SMM has taken off on her First Flight. She is on schedule for a last week of April/First week of May delivery.

9V-SMN has entered the Paint Hanger after making its First Flight.

                          • Interesting... KVS Tool is showing SIN-FCO on A350 from 29 October 2017 onwards

Edit: Further information, just spoke to Singapore Airlines call centre now and they confirmed it.

Excellent news! I've heard mutterings of increased frequency too. This should also be good news for CPH. Can't be too far away either.

Funny my outgoing on SQ366 on 10 Dec still reflects a b777-200er but my inbound SQ365 on 22 Dec shows a350

Follow up update: My outbound is now a350 and timing for SQ366 is now changed from 1:15 to 1:55
