Does this mean that there will be no SIN-LAX service that features Y?

After UA withdrawal from the SIN-LAX route (with last departure from Los Angeles scheduled on 25OCT18, Singapore on 27OCT18), there will no more non-stop SIN-LAX Y service. When SQ resumes the non-stop SIN-LAX service (expected 01DEC18), only premium economy will be offered.

Of course there are plenty of 1-stop SIN-LAX service offering Y class.

Perhaps loads aren't very healthy on the SIN-LAX sector. As a single data point, I snagged a very good Y fare for SIN-LAX nonstop return in August: S$1327. For the same dates, airfares to SFO were higher.

I don't see the end of SIN-LAX as a big issue though, as flying SIN-SFO-LAX on UA isn't too bad an option. Not very different from any other one-stop option, in real terms.

I'm sure SQ1/2 will remain as is. That flight is usually packed in my years of flying that route. Definitely eager to hear of the US changes too.
