FLY, EAT, RETREAT: Bali Re-visited....

After full with good food, our "kampung guy" and his partner in crime went back to Benoa to check in at Novotel Benoa...

He has already booked a pool villa there...

Here the Novotel Benoa's lobby area...













After a brief check in process, they went to their villa through the "tropical rain forest" garden...

This villa was very nice..... So tranquil, private and secluded..... a very nice place for a retreat from a hustle and bustle of a big city......

Teh Botol commercial really rings true in this TR.

"Apapun makanannya, minumannya tetap Teh Botol"

Poor ducks...wonder whether they knew that soon they would end up on a plate in the restaurant at the end of the paddy field?

By the way, which side are the pool villas at Novotel Benoa located? The beach side or the street side?

Poor ducks...wonder whether they knew that soon they would end up on a plate in the restaurant at the end of the paddy field?

I see white-feathered ducks in the field and that reminded me of the first time we asked our favorite concierge in Seminyak to help us order some Bebek Betutu to take home. She asked us if we wanted the white-feathered or black-feathered ducks and being totally clueless, we asked her what the difference was.

She explained that the white-feathered birds are typically used in ceremonial offerings to the Gods and thus cost more to which I answered that, being mere mortals, who were we to compete with the Gods (of the isle of the Gods) and as such, told her to go for the black and other colorful birds for our order

This villa was a perfect place for retreat....

Secluded from the hectic city life.... nothing to do except resting and enjoying live there.... Tucking there for the whole 2 days, lazy-ing the whole day...
So relaxing....

The hotel restaurant has quite a decent food....
The location also superb, on the beach....










They also can see airplanes approaching DPS for landing from the restaurant...
They got a nice view of CX's jumbo approaching while they have lunch there...













Our "kampung guy" and co got some delicious bread with a delicious pesto and some kind of tomato salsa as the dipping...
