Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur

Hi,

We will be going to Chiang Mai/ Chiang Rai from Sydney or Auckland in July 2011. The logical carrier would be Thai with the frequent flights to Chiang Mai/ Chiang Rai via Bangkok. Another option would be Singapore Airlines, but we have been to Singapore too many times now. In addition, we have been asked to attend a family wedding in Kuala Lumpur during this trip also.

Apart from the normal carriers – Thai, Malaysian, Airasia, Jetstar are there any other carriers I could use? Need to fly from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok in the morning each way. Any suggestions from all the helpful people on SQ talk?

Lufthansa - 4 x a week, and Royal Jordanian - 3x a week. Full traffic rights for both carriers both ways, with some rather keen fares, but timing might not be suitable as they're both evening flights both ways.
