  • Old Livery on SQ A380 on the flight map inside KrisWorld

    Hi,

Not sure if this has been mentioned and nothing major but..

When you go onto the flight map through KrisWorld interactive mode just before you enter the flight map it shows an A380. But it has the old SQ livery.

I know. I saw this on both my trips when I flew the 77W on SQ1 and SQ16 back in November. This quite surprised me. Most SQ aircraft are in new livery, all A345s as well.

The A380 was never delivered in this livery.

All SQ A380's were delivered in the current (New) livery.

If I may add, the initial A380s had the title 'SINGAPORE AIRLINES' further from the front, starting from after the 4th window. Subsequent deliveries (not sure from which) has the title begin from the first window of the lower deck, and the first few planes also had the titles reapplied.

Back to the topic, I also wonder why they feature such an old image on their latest krisworld. The image was rendered when SQ first ordered the aircraft, when it was still known as the A3XX!

Only 9V-SKA had the titles painted further back when it was delivered. The rest of the SQ A380 fleet had the titles starting from the first window when delivered.

There are other areas of Krisworld that show the A380 in standard tittles.

I think this so there was space for "First to fly A380"

They also changed the engine colour from white to gray. Also the Kris is on the engine on the above image.

I am also thinking right that the first SQ A380 the vertical stabilizer pained wrong?

That aircraft you referred to was in Singapore for the 2006 airshow, it had not been delivered to SQ yet. Decals were applied to the plane. When it was in Dubai, Emirates' livery was applied.

The vertical stabilizer was not painted on, decals were applied, thus it looked like it was painted wrongly. This and more, just play 'spot the differences'
