Temporary. This two days SQ802 get a version 2 instead.

      • Just check the schedule n SQ have swapped the version 3 A380 in March 2020 for SQ856/861 to a 777-300 (not ER).

So 2-2-2 config for business class.

            Check via book/search flight.

If check via flight schedule is pretty not accurate as it only reflect one aircraft type per week and not really updated.

Seems like SQ has removed SQ890/891 flight pair for March 2020 and that’s where the 773 will be coming from.

Correct. So basically they remove the capacity of a A380 in March.

                • SQ856/61 has been downgraded to a 77W from the present combination of ver.1 & 3 A380s on Tue, Wed, Thu & Sat in the coming week according to fr24's future listings. Demand for travel to/from HKG is not very stable at present and into the future I guess.

                  • Looks like today’s SQ285 is going to be operated by a V2 A380. Was originally booked, and online checked in, with seats 75AC. But when we turned up at SIN T3, we found our seats were gone and we were offered to go via SYD. We persisted and SQ finally got 2 seats in PE for us, so good opportunity to try SQ’s PE...

                    • Looks like there is quite a bit of A380 disruption today. Was at the Changi to see my wife off on SQ308. 9V-SKY has performed this flight instead of V2. Pushback was delayed by an hour because of congestion on the western corridor. WHen they finally got permission, one passenger refused to fly because of the delay and had to be de-planed along with a cabin baggage identification round and hold baggage off load.

SQ802 to PEK was downgraded to 773, operated by 9V-SYI and that resulted in lots of angry Beijing passengers being denied check-in and rebooked to the 1655 flight.

                      • After a year on the refitting of the older A380 to ver 3, so far only 2 A380s have been refitted and reconfigured. That is very slow progress on the refitting as tere are 12 more older A380s to go and given rhe current pace, it will take up to next 5 years to complete, and might as well not refit for the older ones as they be 15-16 years old by then.

Actually I think just one has been refitted (SKS). SKT has been out of action since 29th Jan. Wonder why this is taking much longer than SKS did.

Was about to check on this forums but I guess there was something about the traffic that day. GF had a fight going out at midnight with sq322 but the plane was changed to the older one. Her PEY got upgraded to a J class. Am wondering what will happen to those who were suppose to fly the new suites. Sucks to be flying the older one when anticipating the 2017 suites..

                            • The recent delay of SQ406 (9V-SKI) have caused many paxes to complain on SQ Facebook.
And these paxes are asking SQ to compensate or refund due to the delay.
There were a few videos of the crazy scene that these paxes make.

Some were asking why no spare A380 available. Some *** another A380 to be swapped from another route to perform SQ406.
Some were asking why SQ can’t take the food from the plane and give it to the paxes in the gate hold area. (SQdid give $15 meal voucher).
Some were asking why SQ keep revising the ETD (5pm to 7pm n till midnight and then 7am).
Some paxes make a check n claim that there are enough hotels room in the vicinity to accommodate 400 paxes n ask why SQ never put them in hotel.

                              • Slightly off topic. QF also having issue with its A380 currently with plane damage at hanger or stuck in SIN for one week waiting for engine change and also planes undergoing refit.
They have to cancel some long haul flights such as QF1/2 n have to rebook entire plane load of paxes.
