Just curious, anyone knows what was the reason for the original delay, and the subsequent diversion to KUL? I mean SIN is only about about 30 or so mins from KUL for a flight that length, so it must have been something serious to warrant that diversion?

            Thought anyone?

Only thing that comes to mind is change of crew due to limits of working hours being exceeded. That's happened before on delayed flights from Europe.

Hmm that's very true and possible. I thought perhaps it was a medical emergency, or some other serious technical fault that requires an immediate diversion...

Not sure if this flight has a 2 or 3 man tech crew, and if its a 3 man crew then it doesnt need a stopover in KUL except unless there's other contingencies like medical situation onboard.

This was due to a typhoon over Japan that resulted in a number of flights being re-timed.

I guess SKP was just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

                                It was a medical diversion.
