    • I’m also seeing a “2007 777-300ER” for sale on aicjetscorp.
Which one would this be? Previously they mentioned withdrawing 5 of the oldest 77Ws. However, SWF was delivered 2006. So this “2007 77W” has to be another one.

      • SIA have retired only 4 77Ws and they are 9V-SWA, 9V-SWD, 9V-SWE and 9V-SWF

        • Does anyone knows what happened to 9V-SQJ B777-212ER? She did her last flight with SQ on 2nd August 2018 from PVG and landed on 3rd August 2018 early morning and has been in storage since according to several records. Has it been scrapped in SIN?

          Much thanks for any help.

If i remember, SQJ was the subject of a failed sale to a leasing company.

            https://www.supremecourt.gov.sg/docs...shing)-pdf.pdf

Not sure what the status of that is, but that should explain why SQJ never made it out of Changi, unlike the rest of its peers.

If I remember correctly, SQJ is still stored in Changi Airport, parked at a remote cargo stand.

As ell3 pointed out, I'm guessing the legal suit is still unresolved.

Many thanks ell3 and HS-TND for the quick reply. I learnt something new today, I didn't know it was entangled in legal issue. Thank you for sharing the link. CSDS bought B773A 9V-SYG earlier too.

The latest photo I found on the net is from September 2019. https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9493788

Indeed like what HS-TND has stated it was/is parked at remote cargo stand with other two B777-212ER.

The other two B777-212ER should be 9V-SQK (which suffered damage due to tow tug fire) and 9V-SRB/ Transaero EI-UNU destined for VIM Airlines. VIM Airlines went bankrupt before the pre-delivery check could be completed. https://www.aviationfactsofficial.com/p/boeing.html

                • Cool didn’t know there was a photo available. Have wondered where those 3 aircraft are stored… and what SQK looks like now after scrapping.

Interestingly SQJ is still on the CAAS register, as are the 7x 772s which were used for NokScoot. Wonder what plans SQ has for them since they’re not being sold for scrap yet.

I am curious to know too what happened to all three airframes.

As for the other 7 ex-NokScoot B772ER, most probably they will be sent to Boeing as an exchange for 787 or 77X or back to their lessors. Maybe scrapyard too. SQ has eliminated the fleet due to COVID-19, definitely won't see them back in service.

                    • These ex Scoot planes are 19 years old already and doubt in this market they would be any buyers.

                      • 9V-SWK has joined 9V-SWL in long term storage at ASP having positioned there this morning as SQ8899.

                        • Actually quite a surprise that SIA have decided to retire 4 of its 77Ws which its interior have all been refurbished and the only plane with first class other than the A380s. As the new 777-9 with folding wing tips will now likely be delivered only in 2024 or even a year later to SQ, and with 7 A380s removed from service. Would SQ have enough aircrafts for its long haul when it recovers from covid by 2023?

SQ have slowly been reducing first class capacity for a long time.

                              • Alta Holdings is taking all those ex-SQ B777-212ER currently stored in the US and potentially all seven ex-NokScoot and leasing them to Eastern Airlines, which recently announced they will add 35 B777 for passenger-converted freighters. Alta has thus far reserved 14 US registration numbers, more to come.
