Fortunately when I am in SIN I can rely on the usual suspects to take me to all the restaurants since I would never find them!

        How about these?

Well hopefully will visit Singapore again very soon. It's so hard to live in a remote deserted village... can't travel freely.

OK, this one stumped me. Where is it? For a moment, I thought it was Yeo Keng Nam

There's a little restaurant near Arab St that vaguely rings a bell by looking at the tables/setting, but it'd be a long shot of a guess here... plenty of those tables everywhere.

I wonder if this place is one of the more famous ones?? The 'whatever' chop, as long as it's not pork, looks delicious.

                  some finer dining food recommendations:

kazu sumiyaki - cuppage plaza - very authentic japanese (too many great options you don't need to worry about sushi/sashimi)

tatsu - chijmes - this is where you go for incredible fresh sashimi

il lido - sentosa golf club - lovely romantic italian. good value with their tasting.

if anyone has the money to blow or someone's company is paying, the $500 15 course, 15 drink degustation at The Tippling Club is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

                  i photographed the whole thing - http://www.flickr.com/photos/hafid/s...03072218/show/

wine connection does great cheese boards and meat platters for $18 each. Wines are also at killer prices!

rochester park - graze(excellent value dessert platter, $35 for NINE desserts with amazing souffle) / 1 rochester - (great $18 sunday brunch platter) / north border grill (good fajitas for singapore)

senso - club st - incredible italian. ask for Nidhal to serve you lower cost wines that are not on the menu. he usually keeps a few bottles around. great service always. excellent $78++ sunday brunch with prosecco free flow

the cliff - sentosa resort and spa - sit at the bar afterwards and watch the ships

raw kitchen bar - old fire station (spectra) - bukit timah - brilliant for what it is. no nonsense and delicious in a cutesy little house that's been converted

broth - duxton hill - quiet spot with unique flavours of foreign food

the steakhouse - clarke quay - best. steak. ever. go with someone and split the chateaubriand - GORGEOUS!

da paolo pizza bar - jalan merah saga - chip bee gardens. great pizzas. tip: wine by the glass is cheaper than the bottle. house wines are $10/glass

em - gallery hotel. good sunday breakfast. $6 bloody marys on the weekends if anyone is looking for a hair of the dog

sidenote, da paolo gatronomia has great value parma ham. top notch quality.

khansama - 166 serangoon rd - excellent indian. huge selection. recommend the pani poori, tandoori chicken, kashmiri fish curry

ps cafe - the palais or dempsey - excellent sunday brunch menu. i do prefer it over marmalade pantry although MP has great cakes.

                  good espresso/cappuccinos/lattes

                  kith cafe - roberston quay

1 caramel - handy road (great cakes too - same owners as 1 rochester)

ps cafe - any of them (paragon, palais, dempsey)

                  cocktails

klee - portsdown rd. Ken runs a spiffy joint here with seating inside for only 15. need to book. otherwise can sit outside any time. tiny black/white with no menus. just tell them what flavour you like in a drink and they'll create something lovely for you.

This looks like the place along Thomson Road which name slips me... They specialise in Chicken Rice but have a lot of other stuff on their menu (Hainanese pork chops, Baby kai lan, etc.)...
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but it is a must try in Singapore. Presenting to you...

                              U.D.D.E.R.S Ice Cream

They have 3 outlets in Singapore but the one you must visit is located at Novena.

                              Udders Ice Cream
                              155 Thomson Road
                              (beside United Square)

They have all these unique ice cream flavors. Some are normal (Strawberry Fields) and then you got these unique flavors (Lychee Martini) of your favorite cocktails. You need to check this place out. For those daring folk they even offer ice cream making class!

Here are a few photos from earlier this week. I'm sure more can be posted.

For those who visit Udders for the first time the board on the left at Novena isn't their menu. It's just a place where guests can vote for flavors they want to see. Thanks to the one who introduced me to UDDERS
