And even better, should the next lessee is a Star Alliance member, they can simply peel off the Singapore Airlines Logo sticker and stick their own airline logo on it!

    • Strange that its been a week since the test flight and 9V-STU still hasn't flown any passengers.

9V-STU is scheduled to operate SQ602|11APR (SIN-ICN) this afternoon.

        • Fleet plans for the remaining A330s:

Based on figures just released, by 31 March 2020 the A330 fleet will reduce from 17 to 8. It is a little confusing since it appears they will withdraw 10, but they have also reinstated STU since end of last FY, so:

Here is FJSZ's excellent listing on the last day of the previous FY showing us the remaining 17

          In Service: 17
          Seating: 30J/255Y (Regional J, 2006 Y)

          - 9V-STC
          - 9V-STO
          - 9V-STQ
          - 9V-STR
          - 9V-STV
          - 9V-STW
          - 9V-STY
          - 9V-STZ
          - 9V-SSA
          - 9V-SSB
          - 9V-SSC
          - 9V-SSD
          - 9V-SSE
          - 9V-SSF
          - 9V-SSG
          - 9V-SSH
          - 9V-SSI
Add to this list 9V-STU and then subtract it again, as it has only been brought back temporarily.

Then delete 9 more from the list to bring it down to 8 and we have the list for 31/3/2020. The speculation can now be which 9.

(Although admittedly, speculating on the A330s is pretty dull compared with the rest of the fleet.)

          • why not just SSA-SSI for the 9?

STC's endurance in the fleet is amazing hahaha

But we're going to be left with 8. It might well be SSB-I or SSC-I plus one older one, depending on when exactly SSB might be timed to leave. If all of the second order are on 6 year leases, SSA will definitely be out of the fleet before the end of the 19/20 FY.

anyone knows how long the 787s are grounded?

Just wondering when 9V-STU will leave service. Any ideas?

We heard its lease was extended by 3 months, so it should leave this month in theory (Jul 19). These agreements can be further extended though, especially if (as it seems) the lessor still does not have an onward customer for the aircraft.

Interesting, one of the remaining original order. Leaves us with just STC & STQ.

Would anyone know if all of the second order are 6 year leases and are likely to leave in the same order, or could there be some 5 year leases toward the tail end?

Well, FWIW, 9V-SWY has also stopped flying. It's also one of the A333s being brokered for re-lease.
