SQ288|14DEC (SIN-SYD-CBR-SIN) originally operated by 9V-SWW is delayed due to a issue with the plane. 9V-SWD will be the replacement aircraft.
      STD: 0935
      ETD: 1130

SQ318|14DEC (SIN-LHR) is delayed as 9V-SWW is unable to perform the flight after having been redeployed. 9V-SNC will be the replacement aircraft but the plane is still on its way back from SYD as SQ212 hence the delay to SQ318.
      STD: 1250
      ETD: 1455

SQ494|14DEC (SIN-DXB) orginally operated by 9V-SNC will now be operated by 9V-SWO
      STD: 1505
      ETD: 1610

SQ212 is estimated to arrive at 1347. So a 1455 departure for SQ318 seems doable.

Even then it was delayed again. There's still a lot of disruption going on. A friend flying down from SYD to MEL this evening had his 1830 flight cancelled, rebooked onto 2000, only just departed at 2140. Today's SQ288 is SWD and it just landed in SYD about 1.5 hours late. Hope they can sneak back out before curfew!

Today's SQ288 (SYD-CBR-SIN) leg wasnt affected as SQ swap planes at SYD. 9V-SWH operated SQ211 to SYD and turned-around as SQ288. 9V-SWD will be operating SQ212 back tmr.

Sorry to correct you, but SQ318 is from SIN-LHR and it was delayed due to aircraft swap.

SQ217|17DEC (SIN-MEL) operated by 9V-SKI was delayed due to an issue with Engine No.2. An engine run was performed at gate to ensure that the problem was as rectified before clearing the plane for departure.

                    STD: 1100
                    ATD: 1251

SQ305 is delayed 6 hours only ETA around 12:40PM. It arrived at LHR 2 hours late but took off 7 hours late. Wonder what happened.

                        • Unfortunately a passenger passed away on SQ406. As a result the return flight SQ403 is delayed.

                            Very sad to hear that.

Also, SQ612 got delayed an hour and a half because of the inbound flight from SYD (SQ242) operated by 9V-SWP which got delayed 2 hours. Couldn't they have use SWD instead? That arrived from PVG as 831 and sat on the ground all night.

Usually SQ612 (formerly SQ8) gets the frame right off SQ242 usually when there aren't delays.

Bet they never thought of SWD! Incredible that they didn’t ask you!

                              • Am sure flight Ops would have known how many similiar aircrafts are on the ground and which can be used if necessary. Hence in this case perhaps they feel aircraft change was not necessary for whatever reasons they have.
