15% off for upgrade bookings on the phone?

Hi - I think its well known that an upgrade from Y to C can't be redeemed online in all cases - there could be many reasons why it doesn't work...

In my case I have a booking where my ticket is issued with my first & last names, but my krisflyer profile includes my middle name. It doesn't let me redeem an upgrade online as the names don't match. Plus it was issued via a travel agent.

Has anyone had any luck calling Krisflyer, asking for the upgrade, and asking for the 15PC code (http://www.sqtalk.com/forums/showpos...67&postcount=2) to be added to the booking in situations such as this?

You can call and ask. However, by the rules, agency bookings cannot be upgraded online and no 15% discount.
