A tip...go in with zero expectations and you will come out of it happy. Thats what happened on my last two DL C flights - I was pleasantly surprised.

The toilets suck though - bare, no amenities...made me appreciate SQ all the more

As a UA 1K and million miler, I know what to expect from UA when I take the flights based on my previous experiences.

Okay maybe this is an unfair statement, since I haven't been on other airlines in a few years now (been flying exclusively on UA domestically), but I do wonder what kind of service I would get if I wasn't an elite member.

Brings back this one time when trying to get on an earlier standby flight from SFO-LAX. The GA said "What do you you want, young man?" in a very condescending tone. Then when she saw my 1K card, she asked me "Is this really your card?", like as if I stole that card.

As much as I still like UA, that was one very sour and bitter moment.
