Thanks for the excellent Trip Report, KeithMEL.
I didn't know the new J on the TG B777-200ER is different than those on the B744 and A345/346.

I'm told that the new seats are made by a different manufacturer.

Apart from the lack of sliding, they are also wider. The PTVs are also supposed to be slightly bigger. Appearance-wise, the individual seat pods are more boxy, compared to the shell shaped pods of the older seats.
