With CO, SQ now has a decent partner in USA.
I wonder if SQ will terminate codeshare agreement with US and start codesharing with CO.

It's US Airways (US), not United Airlines (UA) I'm talking about.
But, I do think CO domestic F is better than UA domestic F generally.
Not really sure about Y, though.

They're about the same...unless you're talking p.s. Service. Barring that, AA's C seats on their 763's (maybe 762's also now) are quite nice...followed closely by VX's F seats. Hmmm...actually...come to think about it, I would put the last two on even ground as VX's IFE is awesome -- AND NOT A PORTABLE LITTLE PLAYER.

            Continental to Join Star Alliance

So Continental joins Star, I wonder how fast the integration will happen and when they drop out of SkyTeam

Damn! I KNEW we had another thread going. Was "searching" (read: paging through) the "Other Airlines" section.

Ha ha, I didn't even bother to look at "Other Airlines" I just scanned the posts today in "Star Alliance Partners" only!

We should close this one I guess.

In my experience, CO domestic F & Y are definitely better over US and UA. The only grief I seem to encounter is when I connect thru IAH, their main hub, on a foggy morning and there are a dozen plus planes taxiing to take off at the same time

                          Transition Update

                          From: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...liancefaq.aspx

We expect the transition period to last through the fourth quarter of 2009, and many regulatory and other approvals are required before we can implement our plans. Continental and United and the other Star Alliance members are in the process of securing all such necessary regulatory and other approvals. Continental intends to end its participation in the SkyTeam Alliance after the last scheduled flight on Oct. 24, 2009. We continue to work through the details, but anticipate that our participation in Star Alliance will begin promptly after we leave SkyTeam.
So 25/Oct, CO becomes *A member?

Yep, maybe SQ can take some advantages in IAH!
