  • How to report posts to the Mod Team: RBP hints and guidelines

    Hello,
for what it seems, some of our members, even though really active on the board, lamented their lack of knowledge in reporting posts to the staff. Herebelow a short guide so that all our users - particularly the less expert - could help us and give their help to improve SQT.

    WHAT'S RBP?
RBP is the acronymous for Report Bad Post.
Specifically, this is an automated procedure allowing a user to point out a post/thread to the leading team.

    WHAT HAPPENS OPERATIVELY?
when you RBP a post, the system automatically generates a new thread in the administrative area, reporting the author of the RBP, the title of the thread incriminated, the post incriminated and finally the comments you made in your RBP query.

    HOW CAN I RBP?
First, when you find a post or a thread which you consider should require action from the staff, please feel free to click on the RBP button.
For your convenience, you can see easily where it's located in the first image attached to this post. [In the case you shouldn't the red arrow will guide you in the right direction! )

After your click, your browser will open a new page in the active window; in the space indicated by the blue arrow, please fill in your comment and your request.
Then click on SEND REPORT, which is clearly highlighted by the red circle and the red arrow.

    AND THEN?

I can re-assure you the staff will read it soon and if necessary will take action accordingly.
A RBP does not imply a answer from the staff, so please don't take your breath awaiting for a PM.
On the other side, if you're interested in a direct answer, please don't hesitate to write us a PM.

IN WHICH CASES SHOULD I USE RBP?
Please feel free to use this option everytime you think a post breaches the rules, the T&C or the common gumption. At the same time, RBP if you find a post offensive, polemical, particularly Off-topic or if you're uuncomfortable with the content of a post.

DOES STAFF TAKE ACTIONS EVERYTIME SOMEONE RBP?

No, of course. Everytime someone RBPs we take care of the RBP and we discuss on a case by case basis. If we find the RBP is correct, we decide about actions to keep SQT a nice place. If we consider the original post was not worthing a RBP, probably you won't see any change on the board.
But please be sure we read and we discuss every RBP we receive.

SO, IS RBP A GOOD WAY TO IMPROVE SQT BOARD?
Absolutely it's. RBP is the better way to point out small problems directly to the staff's eyes. It doesn't require particular technical skills or to be expert in moderation or IT and it's extremely quickly to get in touch with the staff.
