              Another retro livery aircraft by Garuda Indonesia. This time, the newest B738 PK-GFN is donning the livery from the 70's - 80's. This is how Garuda's aircraft would have looked like back then just before the introduction of the blue and turquoise Landor's bird.

                This is one that I was really familiar with.
                The retro version doesn't look exactly like the original though:

                The airplane belly was in grey, 'indonesian airways' wordings in black (not red), engines painted in red, and the original had a black nose.

                      Actually, the original "indonesian airways" wording was orange being in the same color as the "garuda" logo like the one on this DC-10:

                      It was later changed to black for whatever reason.

                      I do wish that GA would keep the grey belly and keep the black nose.
