Hey there
I want to know is there some sort of Airline Industry standard practice for the minimum time allowed for transit?
Some background, on the above question.... I will (hopefully) be booked to fly Air Mauritius from JNB to SIN via MRU. For various reason, I must fly on a Air Mauritius flight ex JNB and not a codeshare SAA flight and because of this reason, I get into MRU at 1935 and my flight ex MRU to SIN departs 2025. However, Air Mauritius ticketing agent here in JNB doesn't allow me to book a same day flight and insist I fly the day before, stay over in Mauritius for one evening and catch the 2025hrs the next evening.
I understand that Air Mauritius only flies to SIN ex MRU twice a week (I wanna be flying on 28 Aug 2012) and is that reason why they are insisting that I fly the evening before?
Any insight on it?
Thanks.
